OPTIA by Libellula is the innovative module that quickly digitises offcuts from sheet metal cutting into productive resources. Thanks to a optical system with video camera, acquires the residual sheet profile and integrates it in real time into the Libellula.WIZARD software, making it immediately usable for new machining operations.

The simple interface allows operators to easily acquire, delimitate and correct the useful area of the scrap, autonomously initiating programming for nesting, directly on board the machine or from external workstations.

Real-time acquisition:

OPTIA transforms the real image of the scrap into a virtual model ready for nesting, accurately calculating geometric profiles.

Precise definition of the work area:

Using the position of the camera and the parameters entered, OPTIA automatically delimits the work area, reducing errors and downtime.

Flexible nesting:

Two operating modes to suit every need: automatic on a discretised image or manual on actual sheet metal photography.

Centralised management:

Captured profiles can be used immediately for production or stored in the scrap library for later reuse.

Multi-camera support:

It supports the use of multiple cameras to cover areas up to 2000×4000 mm, combining multiple snapshots into a single composite image.

Automatic profile correction:

It includes editing tools to quickly perfect edges and borders, even in the case of less than perfect acquisitions.

Digital scrap capture in real time:
OPTIA transforms a real image into a virtual model that can be used immediately for nesting. The system detects the sheet template, calculates its geometric contours and integrates it into the Libellula.WIZARD software, making every scrap a real production opportunity.

Quick and precise selection of the work area:
By entering the dimensions of the working field and defining the position of the camera, the operator can precisely delimit the usable area of the scrap. OPTIA's algorithm automatically calculates the detectable area, speeding up the preparation steps and reducing the possibility of error.

Automatic or manual nesting on real image:
OPTIA offers two operating modes to maximise flexibility: one based on discrete image for automatic processing, the other on actual sheet metal photography for manual operations. In both cases, the NC programme is generated automatically and can be executed immediately or saved.

Waste recovery in any production context:
If the scrap is digitised at the machine, the programme can be used immediately. Alternatively, images acquired from an external location are saved in a scrap library, ready to be reused. OPTIA also allows the sheet metal to be virtually rotated to adapt it to the actual positioning conditions.
