1. CAD/CAM updates: Libellula.CUT
1.1 Overlap Destroy
Application in Libellula.CUT strategic micro-cuts positioned at the corners of the pieces to facilitate the automatic separation of the cut components.
ADVANTAGES
It facilitates unloading and picking operations, reducing the risk of jamming or snagging when removing parts from the sheet metal.
1.2 New Import Workflow mod.IMPORT
Revision of the file upload process to make importing significantly more intuitive. The system introduces a new central icon preview and an automatic validation process.
ADVANTAGES
The process of adding files to the library is speeded up thanks to the immediate check on whether a part can be imported.
1.3 Inkjet technology
An advancement in the management of inkjet printers that allows text to be rotated by 0° and 90° (compared with the previous rigid configuration, which was limited to 0° only).
ADVANTAGES
It ensures that the printed text always fits perfectly within the geometric outline of the part, whilst maintaining legibility even if the icons are reused at a later date.
1.4 Logical Cutting of Sheet Metal
An option that can be configured within the interconnection system mod.BRIDGE, which enables the sheet metal to be automatically unloaded from the storage area at the exact moment the cutting cycle on the machine stops.
ADVANTAGES
Eliminates discrepancies between the actual stock in the workshop and the theoretical stock in the system, ensuring that sheets that have already been processed are not counted as available.
1.5 Jobs in the Detachment Phase in the MANAGER module
A feature within the queue management module that allows you to view directly from the interface of the mod.MANAGER the status of all jobs currently in progress or awaiting sorting on Libellula.SORTING.
ADVANTAGES
Centralised control and real-time monitoring of the progress of excavation work.
1.6 Serialisation of the layout in mod.MANAGER
A new storage feature that allows you to permanently save your customised interface layout configuration. This option is particularly useful and effective in workshop set-ups with twin machines and multi-machine systems.
ADVANTAGES
It preserves the ideal working environment set up by the user, so you don’t have to resize panels or columns every time the module is restarted.
1.7 Total Tasks to be Cut by Queue
Introduction of a visual indicator within the mod.MANAGER to monitor the total number of tasks still to be processed within each production queue, including all repetitions in the count.
ADVANTAGES
Planning and estimating remaining workloads on machines is much quicker and more accurate.
2. What’s new Libellula.VISIO
2.1 Automatic Submission to Libellula.SORTING
Process automation on the onboard system, which transfers jobs to the sorting environment fully automatically Libellula.SORTING as soon as the cutting operation on the machine is complete.
ADVANTAGES
It eliminates the need for manual data transfer between the cutting machine and the unstacking area, speeding up the internal logistics flow.
3. What’s new Libellula.SORTING
3.1 Advanced Filters and Display Options
The sorting interface enhances data management by allowing users to combine multiple filters that intersect with one another. Predefined colours that can be associated with criteria have been introduced, along with a clear tabular view of the icons and a new specialised tab called “Orders”.
ADVANTAGES
It allows you to instantly group parts on the sheet metal according to complex combinations (e.g. by customer/order) and to visually identify straight away when a pallet is ready for sealing.
3.2 Interface and Navigation
You can choose between a vertical or horizontal display layout to best suit the aspect ratio of the machine and the screen you are using. The interface now supports full-screen mode, zoom, panning and full 180° rotation of the sheet metal.
ADVANTAGES
Optimal ergonomics and ease of use, particularly in touch mode on tablet devices, directly in the machine’s discharge areas.
3.3 Work Management
Introduction of dedicated operational commands both to adjust cutting times when they fall below a set minimum threshold, and to carry out an immediate comparison between the quantities requested and those actually produced using the “Declare Items” function.
ADVANTAGES
Greater accuracy in the final production accounts and greater flexibility in correcting small batches or counting discrepancies.
4. What’s new mod.HVAC
4.1 64-bit compilation
The specialist software designed for the development of ducts and specialised components for ventilation is now also available in a version compiled entirely natively for 64-bit architecture.
ADVANTAGES
Improved computing performance and operating system stability by making full use of the hardware in modern computers.
5. What’s new Libellula.TUBE
5.1 Selecting the Cut for a Single Piece
Within the 3D nesting environment of Libellula.TUBE, when the operator selects a particular cut on the nesting layout, only the specific cut for the chosen part is now highlighted, preventing all other identical copies of that cut on the bar from being visually highlighted.
ADVANTAGES
Greater visual clarity and the elimination of assessment errors when analysing tube cutting paths.
5.2 Rotation of the View around the Pipe Axis
Introduction to quick commands using keyboard shortcuts Ctrl + mouse scroll wheel to rotate the view freely and dynamically around the tube’s longitudinal axis. This function is available in all views within the module, including the preview within the components library.
ADVANTAGES
Geometric inspection of the 3D model and through-hole machining is much quicker and more intuitive for the designer.
6. What’s new mod.BRIDGE
6.1 New RPBridge API
Integration of a brand-new REST API designed specifically to enable operations to be carried out asynchronously. The tool has been developed to ensure robust communication and integration between the Libellula suite and external management systems (ERP) or third-party software.
ADVANTAGES
Data exchange between the technical department and the company’s IT systems is extremely flexible, modern and free from bottlenecks or user interface slowdowns.
